Vacon continues cooperation with Alpine Ski Team Finland
The AC drives manufacturer Vacon continues as the official main sponsor of Alpine Ski Team Finland during the seasons of 2010-2011 and 2011-2012. This renewed sponsorship agreement continues the active cooperation the parties started in 2006.
“Alpine skiing is a dynamic sport which shares characteristics of the Vacon brand, such as a drive for achievement, a passion for excellence and solid professionalism. We are pleased to continue our smooth cooperation because it has given us valuable visibility, and at the same time, allowed us to offer memorable experiences to both our customers and personnel in Finland, Central Europe and North America,” says Catarina Fant, Brand Director of Vacon.
“We are very proud that such a successful company as Vacon continues as a partner for alpine skiing. This tells us that in the business world alpine skiing still enjoys trust as an attractive and a successful sport. We believe that the dynamic, international and positive image of alpine skiing will be connected to Vacon even stronger in the future,” says Janne Leskinen, Director of Alpine Skiing.
Vacon’s sponsorship focuses on only a few cooperation partners. “As a main sponsor we will get good visibility in all the activities of the cooperation partner, for example in outfits. Besides the visibility, we want our sponsorship cooperation to be interactive, and therefore we prepare an action plan with our partners on how the cooperation benefits both parties in an integrated way,” says Catarina Fant.
Vacon’s other main sponsorship partners include Sail Training Association Finland (STAF) and, in particular, its Sails for Environment program, which aims at promoting environmental protection in cooperation with several other parties. The program activities include training and information campaigns on the effects of climate change and pollution on the ecological system as well as sailing trips with different themes.
